Brouwer sent to Rockford

Troy Brouwer was one of 18 players sent down today to Rockford by Chicago.  This one surprises me.  I thought after his season here last year, he would make the big club out of camp.  Things continue to be strange in Chicago.

This one does not actually suprise me when I heard about this yesterday morning.  Brouwer must continue to work on his skating and the best place for him to do this is in the AHL.  He worked all summer on his skating and is getting better, but he still has some way to go.  Plus, if he did stick in Chicago, it would not be in the top 6 and he needs to play there to be effective.
