Wrangers, from my POV, we are in substantial agreement on the situation.  By the way can I borrow your magic decoder ring to use on Hutch's posts.

my point stands, Randy, the last two times, Portland has switched affiliates they've had the clause both times, just as Phoenix probably has if they pull out prior, and Pegula actually paid Petrovek to buy out the last two years in order to return and/or buy Rochester, both Washington and Anaheim were in discussions back in 2005 to transfer the contract, it just so happened Portland missed the playoffs in '05, but both were charged w/ finding the next parent club, whether it was Anaheim or in '09, Buffalo....  that might be something that should be considered....

there is no need for that clause anymore because there are 30 ahl teams for 30 nhl teams, its not like a couple years ago when there were 28 teams for 30.

And my point stands, what you're talking about has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the current situation.  ABSOLUTELY.   NOTHING.  There is no reason to consider it because it is completely irrelevant to affiliation talk this year.  Again. NOTHING.

False,  Petrovek's had that clause as far back as 2005, hence why the Ducks broke that deal and ended the AHL  experiment in Cincinnati when Washington elected to end their association instead of the extension, it wasn't known to the fanbase, Anaheim paid Portland as well when they left in '08, how come Buffalo paid to break the contract they signed in '09-10, the clause has been exercised 3 times and is still in existence even now w/ Phoenix....

Why would you want any organization not to sign off on an affiliation switch....

Why would you want to continue to post unintelligible, irrelevant comments?

Since Brisbois is obviously not moving, why not just lock this thread down?
