By virtue of the Admirals win tonight (and also the OKC loss-- we only needed one or the other, and got both), the Admirals are the regular season champions and winners of the Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy!

The Admirals have now locked up our first division title since 2003, our first ever Kilpatrick trophy (and first ever regular season championship at any level-- the ECHL Admirals never won the Brabham Cup).

What the heck was up with the crowd tonight?  I don't think it was just where I was sitting.  Very quiet!  Thankfully the crowd got into it during and after the fights

Last nights game was odd. Janus letting in that major softie, Johnsons game winner being so flukey, Bing missing that wide open net in the first. Luck was just on our side last night.

Enjoyed all the hitting last night. Bingo tried to ne physical and we just answered back. I really see no holes on this team anywhere.

Roman I agree kind of a weird game but we pulled it out... but this is just a solid all around team.... especially with segal and smith back a very exciting team in all to watch...

Last night's game was a little sloppy but I'll take the W. That game winner was the weirdest I've ever seen.

Not sure if anyone saw Mike McKenna's tweet yesterday wishing everyone well in light of the crash tragedy but I was able to chat with him in between periods for a second... I thanked him for his tweet and told him the news of no fatalities.... We both just shook our heads...
Mike's always a class guy..... He's getting married soon and I wish him the best!!

While Johnson's goal was among the flukiest of flukes, I disagree with your calling the lone Bingo goal a "softie".  It looked to me like a great shot that beat Janus stick side high and in off the crossbar near the post.  Textbook corner picking.

The only holes I see in this team have to do with special teams play.  The penalty kill is no better than average.  And I think the recent personel changes on the power play don't seem to be working as well as the "old" power play.

Our PK is playing amazing right now, looking at the stats on the ahls site doesn't show it right now though because they have had just so many minor penalties.  The bingo goal was a wonderfully aimed shot and janus misjudged it thinking it would go wide.

i agree that the PK has been really steller... the power play just needs to get the chemistry that the other has.... I just hope it comes around sooner than later

Mor, I only say it was a softie because Janus played it like he knew it was going wide. It was a good shot, for sure, but Janus underplayed it, IMO.
